Outstanding smoothness and power delivery combined with modest fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. That is the profile of the 6-cylinder V-engines in the CLS.
The CLS 280 is available as an entry-level model. It delivers 170 kW (231 hp) and impresses with its readiness for the road. The CLS 350 CGI revs up even sportier: with an output of 215 kW (292 hp) and torque of 365 Nm, it accelerates in 6.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. But the CLS 350 CGI also makes for big excitement with its economy as it injects the fuel at high pressure directly into the combustion chamber using special piezo injectors.
(CLS 280: fuel consumption combined: 9.8–10.0 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 233–237 g/km; CLS 350 CGI: fuel consumption combined: 9.1–9.3 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 217–222 g/km)[1]
