Ambient lighting (optional)

Getting in and feeling at home – with its pleasant, indirect light the ambience lighting creates an unrivalled sense of well-being throughout the interior. Three colour options and five dimming levels are available to configure your preferred lighting effect.

The ambient lighting is based wholly on LED technology and can be comfortably adjusted through COMAND. It is activated and deactivated with the outside lighting. It also switches on to welcome the passengers when the doors are opened.

Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory function

The electrically adjustable front-passenger seat provides comfortable and individual adjustment of seating and head restraint positions. Operation is intuitive using ergonomic switches in the door control panel. Settings can be stored and accessed at any time for up to three people.

THERMATIC automatic climate control with two climate zones

THERMATIC automatic climate control with two climate zones provides individual climate control. The temperature can be controlled separately for each side. The air is cooled or heated automatically according to setting.

In addition a fine particles/active charcoal filter enhances the air quality in the vehicle interior. It filters dust, soot and pollen from the air and also reduces pollutants and unpleasant odours.

To effectively prevent windows misting up, a dewpoint sensor measures the absolute air humidity at the windscreen.

THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control with three climate zones (optional)

A pleasant interior climate to suit everyone: the automatic climate control system with three climate zones and three climate modes provides an individual feel-good climate on board. Driver and passenger can set preferred temperature and air distribution for their own seats. Separate options for temperature and air flow are available for the rear seats.

There are three airflow modes to choose from, which adapt the airflow to suit individual preferences – diffused, medium or focused. An indirect ventilation function for the vehicle interior in the instrument panel further increases the feeling of comfort by reducing direct draughts.

THERMOTRONIC keeps the climate in each zone automatically constant at the desired levels. This is made possible by a large number of sensors, which, in addition to internal and external temperature, also record the intensity of sun rays.

A sensor for air quality and noxious gases permanently monitors the quality of the exterior air drawn in. In the event of increased noxious pollutants, the system automatically switches to air recirculation. In addition a fine particles/active charcoal filter enhances the air quality in the vehicle interior.

5 head restraints, 4-way for driver/front passenger and 2-way in the rear

The five head restraints provide occupant protection aligned with each seat. They all are manually height-adjustable. The front head restraints additionally allow setting the distance from the head to reduce the risk of whiplash injuries in a rear-end collision.

Panoramic sliding sunroof with electric roller sun visor and automatic reversing function

With its large glazed areas, this roof system ensures a particularly bright and welcoming ambience in the interior. It consists of a fixed panoramic glass rear section and a power sliding glass front section for ventilation of the interior as required.

Numerous practical functions of the panoramic sliding sunroof ensure a high level of ride comfort. For instance, the glass roof automatically adopts one of three levels to adapt to the current vehicle speed. At high speeds the glass roof descends. Sound levels and air circulation in the vehicle interior are thus reduced. Conversely, the roof is raised at low speeds again.

When the vehicle is stationary the panoramic sliding sunroof can, in conjunction with KEYLESS-GO, be opened and closed from the outside. The electronic ignition key can be used to activate the functions "summer opening" and "convenience closing", by pressing for an extended time on the relevant buttons.

And the panoramic sliding sunroof also reacts automatically to rain: if it is open, it automatically goes into the raised position, preventing water from getting into the vehicle interior.

Roller sun visors in left and right rear doors (optional)

The extending roller sunblinds in the rear doors protects the rear passengers from prying eyes and sunlight glare. The view to the outside is maintained.

Power front seats with power height and backrest adjustment and manually adjustable fore-and-aft position and head restraints

Manual head-restraint and longitudinal adjustment for the front seats; seat height and backrest angle are electrically adjustable. Partially power-adjustable 4-way seat adjustment offers comfort and safety.

Green-tinted glass all round, including rear window in single-layer safety glass

The use of heat-insulating glass instead of conventional glass reduces heat penetration of the interior. This means that less energy is required to keep the interior constantly at the desired temperature.
