With its selective amplitude damping system, the AGILITY CONTROL suspension system delivers well-balanced driving comfort and stability. It does this by optimising roll characteristics, damping and stabilisation in line with road conditions.

Passive damping provides greater vehicle stability when it experiences larger jolts on poor road surfaces.

Only available for the GLE 400 4MATIC.

Experience unique, sporty dynamism. The suspension lowers the vehicle level in accordance with the vehicle speed. In addition, you can also raise it, for instance in order to negotiate rough roads better. With the result: Ride stability and comfort are significantly enhanced.  

This suspension system is based on the AIRMATIC package including the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM, which improves driving dynamics together with the suspension and ride comfort both on and off the road. AMG spring struts and shock absorbers reduce the roll angle further still and deliver outstanding cornering properties.

Only available for the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 4MATIC Coupé and the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S 4MATIC Coupé. 

Comfortable, sporty, winter-optimised or entirely individual suspension settings can be comfortably called up with the DYNAMIC SELECT Controller on the centre console. Parameters such as engine, transmission and steering characteristics are modified in accordance with the drive program chosen. 

Four different drive programs can be selected using the Controller on the centre console. When the engine is started the balanced, consumption-optimised "Comfort" setting is selected as standard. 

The "Sport" drive mode, with a more direct steering characteristic curve, a sportier damping setting and modified shift points, offers greater agility and dynamism. 

Drive mode "Slippery" delivers optimised handling on iced-over and snow-covered road surfaces. This is made possible by reduced engine and transmission settings which ensure the best possible propulsion. Improved ESP® regulation and increased metering capability of the drive forces contribute towards greater drive stability.

The "Individual" drive program allows the driver to vary individual parameters at will – from the steering to the drivetrain to the suspension.

"Sport +" (only available for AMG models, for the GLE 400 4MATIC only in conjunction with the AIRMATIC package) further enhances the characteristics of the "Sport" drive mode, the vehicle body is lowered by 25 millimetres. Another feature of "Sport +" is the sports light: A more dynamic regulation of the Curve Light and faster switching over of the Highbeam Assist lighting function. 

The Sports Direct-Steer system adds to the comfort of speed-sensitive power steering with a variable steering ratio dependent on the steering wheel angle. This leads e.g. to more agile vehicle response on winding roads and increases straight-line stability on straight stretches.
