The Stowage package comprises additional stowage and tie-down options in the interior and the boot. The stowage compartment under the armrest features an elastic strap that holds small items in place. Rear-seat passengers can stow magazines, maps or tablets in the map pockets on the back of the seat backrests.

A folding box in the boot and a net for holding items in place on the floor of the boot round out the stowage options. In conjunction with the cargo brackets, the boot capacity can be increased from 550 to 580 litres. Below the lockable luggage compartment floor is a stowage compartment for stowing items such as a laptop safely.

Individual atmosphere: add a personal touch to your vehicle by harmonising your mood with the interior atmosphere. You decide on the intensity.

The vehicle interior can be fragranced to suit individual tastes with the AIR BALANCE package. There is a choice of four high-quality interior fragrances according to personal preference and mood. Furthermore, the air quality can be improved through ionisation and optimised filtering of interior and exterior air.

The Chrome package contains additional chrome trim as stylish design elements for the exterior.

A combination of various security features help to effectively warn of break-ins, theft and being towed away. An alarm is triggered upon unauthorised intrusions or changes in the vehicle's attitude.

The anti-theft protection package gives audible and visual warnings if the vehicle is broken into or stolen; for example in the event of unauthorised opening of the vehicle doors, tailgate or bonnet. The system is activated automatically when the vehicle is locked using the remote control.

Tow-away protection reacts to changes in the vehicle's position. This function can be deactivated if necessary, for instance, in order to load the vehicle onto a transport, or if the vehicle has to be towed.

The Interior Light package generates more illumination and enhanced visibility in the interior. This includes indirect illumination of the front footwells and handle recesses, illuminated elements in the centre console, reading lights in the rear and an illuminated vanity mirror.

The rear reading lights in the handle recesses using LED technology are particularly practical.

The system conveniently opens, starts and locks the vehicle – just by carrying the electronic key. The HANDS-FREE ACCESS function allows contact-free and fully automatic opening and closing of the boot.

That is particularly practical, for instance, when you are shopping and come back to the car with your arms full of groceries - and the car key is in your pocket. The convenience opening and closing function allows the automatic closing and opening of all electrically-operated side windows, the sliding sunroof and vent windows by infrared signals from outside the vehicle.

For security reasons this function only operates from the immediate vicinity of the driver's door.A further benefit of the KEYLESS-GO Convenience package is the handle recess lighting, which makes the door handles immediately visible in the dark.

The OFF-ROAD Exterior design and equipment line, which includes a front bumper with a larger angle of approach and expressive elements in chrome, gives a dynamic look off the beaten track, too.

With design elements in chrome, the OFF-ROAD design and equipment line underscores the SUV character of the vehicle. The radiator trim comprises an integral Mercedes star and two louvres in matt iridium silver with chrome inlays.

Further select highlights include the 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, the chromed stylized underride guard, a front bumper with a larger angle of approach, an exhaust system with two visible chromed tailpipes and anodised roof rails.

The Off-Road Engineering package delivers even better off-road capabilities at the push of a button as the result of up to five additional off-road driving programmes (off-road, gradient, slippery, trailer and rocking free in conjunction with the optional AIR BODY CONTROL system). The modified characteristics of the drive system optimise traction in particular on loose terrain. Downhill Speed Regulation (DSR) helps the driver master even steep descents safely.

The off-road lighting mode in conjunction with the optional Intelligent Light System provides even wider and brighter illumination of the route. When the headlamps are switched on, the LED headlamp modules swivel outwards by 6 degrees. The light is distributed symmetrically and the light output of the LEDs is increased by 3 watts.

The Active Parking Assist function with PARKTRONIC makes it easier to find a parking space as well as parking and leaving a parallel or on-end parking space. The 360° camera provides you with a realistic all-round view thanks to the interaction of four cameras.

It is activated automatically by engaging reverse gear, or by driver command as required. The vehicle and its surroundings can be shown in a bird's-eye view on the COMAND display, and obstacles below the window line are also visible to the driver. If Active Parking Assist is not used, the PARKTRONIC electronic parking aid monitors the front and rear of the vehicle during manoeuvring and warns the driver if it detects a potential collision.

Once you've climbed in, you'll never want to get out. Seats enter a new dimension with this package. It doesn't get much easier than this.

Numerous mechanical and electrical adjustment options as well as an electropneumatic 4-way lumbar support enable you to set an individual and ergonomic seating position. This boosts seating comfort for driver and front passenger on longer journeys in particular.

City traffic is full of problems. Narrow streets, lack of parking spaces, these things are daily challenges – for every driver. It can thus be very helpful if a vehicle can make itself narrower.

Both exterior mirrors can be power-adjusted and -folded at the push of a button to protect the mirror housing against damages, for instance during parking. For improved vision and visibility the exterior mirror on the driver's side and the interior mirror automatically dim continuously.
